What is Year In Industry?The Year In industry has for over 12 years been placing high calibre pre-University ("Gap Year") students in British companies.The Scheme has grown rapidly, and now has 750 students in place and around 300 companies participating.Companies join the scheme for 2 main reasons:For 65% the most important reason is work done For 35% it is the opportunity to recruit high quality young graduates of the future All recognise the benefits of employing bright, enthusiastic, committed young people Students:Bring financial savings Make a significant contribution to productivity Are academically very able: 24% go on get a First 47% a 2:1 All students are obliged to complete the NEBS Certificate in Management:Delivered in 3 residential modules each of 1 week at Pershore College in Worcestershire
